A travel agency owner paid out of pocket for a family stay in the two-bedroom Skyline Suite, with two king bedrooms either side of a central living room, both facing the Miami skyline. The stay was on a Globalist reservation, so breakfast at Aguasal, the Jose Andres Group restaurant, was included for two adults and two children; they ordered off the menu, with Iberico ham and scrambled eggs and strawberry French toast both praised, and champagne with macarons were photographed as the welcome amenity. He noted valet parking retails at about $60 a day and is waived for Globalists on award stays, and that the destination fee covers two hours of e-bike rentals plus beach and pool chairs. Check-in was a weak point, with a line and only two agents for a hotel of this size, but the team was polite and he said the family has stayed several times and loves the design, location and food. No upgrade outcome is stated in the review.

    Welcome amenity
    Given

Staying during the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix race weekend, the reviewer and his party were immediately acknowledged as World of Hyatt Globalist members at check-in, given welcome drinks, and walked through the elite benefits awaiting them. They stayed in a Skyline View Suite with a sitting area separate from the bedroom and a four-person dining table that doubled as a workspace; soundproofing and blackout curtains both passed his test despite Collins Avenue outside, though the room had no true luggage rack and the suitcases kept sliding off the ottomans. Free daily Globalist breakfast at Aguasal, one of three Jose Andres Group restaurants on site, was described as generous, delicious and accommodating of dietary restrictions. He noted the Category 6 award rates of 20,000 to 40,000 points and that the resort fee includes a beach chair and umbrella combo. The review does not state what room type was booked or whether the suite was an upgrade.

Picked the 10th-floor ocean view over a 4th-floor Miami suite. Free valet, but kelp on the beach and fewer places to eat than farther south.

Upgrades are hit or miss, and Miami Suites usually lack balconies. No longer aspirational, just a decent beach resort.

Worn room and hallway, like a beachy Waikiki apartment, plus noise from the next building's fan. Public spaces were decently nice.

Took a Miami Suite ready at 10am, then switched to the oceanfront one around 12:30. Great value on category 4 certificates.
