A Globalist spent seven nights in May 2024 on points at 20,000 per night against cash rates around $350, while in town for a convention at Marina Bay Sands, and applied a suite upgrade award before arrival to confirm the Andaz Suite King, the hotel's standard suite, a corner room with a walled-off den, huge walk-in closet and large bathroom. Arriving shortly after 7 a.m. exhausted from a flight from New York, he was immediately given a regular room to shower and nap in and later moved to the suite once it was ready. Globalist breakfast was complimentary, about $30 for non-Globalists, and ran as a huge buffet spanning three rooms with continental, Western and Indian, and Asian sections, with shrimp dumplings and bread pudding as highlights. He praised the location directly above Bugis MRT, the complimentary Sunroom lounge open to all guests, and the daily-replenished free minibar, and said he would gladly stay again.

The suite sits under the steakhouse, so bar music came through the wood floor past its 10:30pm close. Took about 35 minutes to sort out.

Would pick the Andaz over the Conrad Singapore even at 50% more. Much nicer rooms, a separate WC, a far better breakfast if less varied.

A Globalist paid 320 Singapore dollars, about $245, for one night at this Category 6 property and was told at check-in that no suite upgrades were available, staying in king room 3222 on the 32nd floor. A kueh lapis cake was waiting in the room and the Andaz minibar snacks and non-alcoholic drinks were complimentary, and complimentary breakfast was included, but he found the breakfast spread across three restaurants deeply confusing: he was handed a menu saying a la carte dishes were included, then told only eggs could be ordered, and eventually settled for a cheese-only omelet when he had asked for veggie and cheese. He liked the friendly service, design and high-floor views and called the hotel a solid addition for Hyatt in Singapore, but left with a neutral impression and said he would only return if the price was right.

Service was excellent, which in their experience is rare in Singapore, and the doorman knew their name. Oddly shaped suite with too-clever light switches.

Asked for a Deluxe Sea View and heard Heritage View was already a double upgrade, though the website puts it one category up. Felt misled.
