A Globalist stayed two nights solo on a cash booking of an entry-level king room and was upgraded before arrival, with no suite upgrade award used, to the premium Grand Executive Suite at 1,636 sq ft with a separate living room, dining room and guest bathroom, a treat the Grand Club representative stressed should not be expected every time. He was escorted to check in at the Grand Club, where staff learned and used his name throughout, and chose the far more extensive international buffet at THIRTY8 over the quieter club breakfast. The club also offered afternoon tea and a full evening dinner service with a carving station that could replace a restaurant meal. He rated service and the property at Park Hyatt level and said he would return without hesitation, with the two-elevator trip to rooms and the roughly 50 to 90 minute airport transfer as the only downsides.

On a two-night cash stay at 600 MYR, about $200 per night, the reviewer applied an expiring confirmed suite upgrade from the old Diamond tier and was confirmed into a Grand Suite of over 1,000 sq ft, with the suite ready on a 9 a.m. arrival. A bottle of red wine, a fruit bowl and a card from the general manager were waiting, along with complimentary jars of cookies and nuts. He called the physical hotel possibly his favourite Grand Hyatt and praised the location under a 10-minute walk from Suria KLCC, but found the Grand Club breakfast on the 37th floor the most lacklustre he had seen at a Hyatt in Asia, limited largely to continental items and cooked-to-order omelets, with the evening spread of salad, satay and cheese only somewhat better. Status is recorded as unknown because the review uses the legacy Diamond tier name, which has no canonical slug.
