Keys ready with no wait after a redeye, not what they expect from Hyatt. Excellent service, communication and hard product.

Told there were no upgrades, then moved up on check-in day. Among the city's best luxury hotels, though an ice request sat for hours.

Largest suite award result ever with Hyatt, two bathrooms with Toto bidets. Quiet for a light sleeper, great breakfast apart from one overcooked steak.

Breakfast now means one entree, one hot drink, one cold drink, no cap. Steak and eggs, coffee and a smoothie, about $85, all waived.

Ordered over the $48 breakfast cap cited before, and it was all waived. Service noticeably better and more professional than last time.

Surprisingly disappointing service on a return stay. Room not ready, and the stored bags never came up as promised, so they fetched them themselves.

Staying two nights at the end of November 2023 for a Hyatt program event, the reviewer was told at check-in that no suite upgrades were available and was given top-floor room 1806 instead, noting that none of the several Globalists in house received a suite upgrade, a contrast with pre-renovation stays when Globalists almost always got one. Globalist breakfast was taken by room service one morning and in the restaurant the next, with no bill to sign either time apart from the room service delivery charge. Treats and a handwritten welcome note were in the room on arrival and a different dessert with dessert wine was refreshed at turndown. He praised the renovation and service and said he would gladly return, though the bath towels were scratchy and demand and rates have risen. His Globalist status is strongly evidenced by the Globalist breakfast and the in-house Globalist group he counts himself in, rather than stated outright.

A lifetime Globalist who had first booked on points switched to cash at around $500 per night through Hyatt Prive when award availability disappeared, booking only a few hours before arrival. He received a one-category upgrade from a king city view room to a king city view deluxe room on the 14th floor, room 1410, with no standard suites left to upgrade into. Globalist breakfast at NoMI Kitchen covered one main course plus hot and cold drinks, and he had shakshuka one morning and the park omelette the next. About an hour after check-in a customised dirty martini setup arrived as the Prive welcome amenity, and he praised the post-renovation hotel, its restaurant and location while noting it lacks a wow factor.
