About a week with a baby. Quiet river-facing room, and housekeeping cleaned the wood floor for crawling, but the pool was not baby-friendly.

Standard room (points, 20,000 for 2 nights) → Park Suite

A Globalist spent two nights on points and received a suite upgrade to a Park Suite without asking or contacting the hotel ahead of time. Breakfast was provided in the downstairs restaurant as part of the stay. He praised the suite and its views of Seoul and noted the base room was priced at over $400 per night, calling the Hyatt properties on this Asia trip consistently impressive.

Fruit on arrival, then appetizers and more fruit the second night. The design puts form over function, but it was fun.

Far better than the InterContinental Grand across the street, though the IC's breakfast spread is better. Dinner was good but pricey.

Floor-to-ceiling windows looked over the Olympic Stadium and south Seoul. Breakfast was continental only on day one, fixed the next.

Weekday breakfast was just pastries and cereal, nothing hot. Ultramodern, and handy for the subway.

Free pickup from the City Air Terminal and subway access were pluses. The suite was somewhat small but fine, and the controls could be confusing.

Newly opened, with a private boutique feel and keen, friendly staff. The one gripe: no proper work desk.

On a one-night Points and Cash stay, the reviewer used a Diamond suite upgrade certificate to confirm the Park King Suite, which was selling for about $600 against over $400 for a Park King. At check-in he was offered a welcome amenity or 1,000 points, and snacks and cookies were left in the suite. Complimentary breakfast at Cornerstone mixed buffet items with ordered pancakes and an omelet served in under three minutes, a bill of roughly $50 that was removed automatically. Status is recorded as unknown because the review uses the legacy Diamond tier name, which has no canonical slug. He said he would return in a heartbeat.

Sloppy for a Park Hyatt: a missed cleaning between bookings, ongoing elevator trouble and a remote location. Andaz Seoul next time.

One of their top Hyatt breakfasts. Sleep suffered from light leaks, motion-sensor bedside panels, thinly insulated plumbing and short sheets.
