Room not cleaned twice in three nights, though they were out from 11am to mid-afternoon. Guest services oddly asked if cleaning had been requested.

Upgraded at check-in even though the hotel was fairly full. Dated but clean, and they would go back at the right rate.

First time back since before the pandemic, and no longer a favorite. Slow valet, no doorman, a so-so gym and dated, worn decor.

A Globalist travelling with his wife and toddler confirmed a Park Suite ahead of the stay, the standard confirmed-suite assignment, and at check-in was told he had instead been given the larger Georgetown Suite, a corner suite with living and dining areas plus a separate office. Globalist breakfast could be taken in Blue Duck Tavern or by room service at a stated $40 per person, and when the folio overcharged because his two-year-old was not counted, the hotel wiped the whole breakfast bill for each day, nearly $200 on the first morning. Bottled water and chocolates were waiting in the suite. Housekeeping left the room door open one day and phoned despite a do-not-disturb sign during his daughter's nap, and the property felt aging, but he called the stay fantastic and rebooked a return visit.

Booking through Hyatt Prive at a $199 weekend rate, the reviewer had a one-category upgrade from a standard king room to a Junior Suite confirmed by email within a couple of days of booking, well before arrival, even though the app only reflected it the day before check-in. Breakfast was free up to $40 per person and he took it as room service, the desk proactively set up a 4 p.m. checkout which he ended up needing, and a fruit plate with a tall bottle of still water was the welcome gift. He spent most of the one-night stay in bed feeling unwell, skipping dinner at Blue Duck Tavern, but praised the room service breakfast and lunch, the $100 property credit, and the service throughout, and said he would absolutely return. His own elite status is not stated in the review, so it is recorded as unknown.

A grand piano and a huge bathroom. The jammed in-room safe took three hours and drills to open, but they would use points here again.
