The suite upgrade cleared at mobile check-in, then the front desk gave a base room with deluxe rooms open. One key, musty smell, no toiletries.

Spacious rooms, mediocre service. Poor soundproofing let in footsteps on the same floor and sirens, though the area is quiet most of the day.

A Globalist booked a standard room for a week on a long-term refundable cash rate of $188 per night at this Category 5 hotel and applied a suite upgrade award, which confirmed the Centric Suite. A handwritten welcome note, bottled water and a small box of chocolates were waiting in the suite. Globalist breakfast at Wall & Water covered both buffet and a la carte options, but the breakfast charges were not removed from the bill as promised and were only reversed after his Hyatt Concierge contacted the hotel manager. He has stayed at the property multiple times and plans to return, rating the suites a strong use of an upgrade award for their space and natural light.

A Globalist on a March 2023 business stay booked on a member rate and was upgraded in advance to a 610 sq ft Centric Suite on a high floor, room 1212, with 12-foot ceilings. The $25 destination fee was waived for his status and removed without asking, mobile check-in and the mobile key failed for the whole stay, and a note, water and a mouse pad were waiting as a welcome amenity. Globalist breakfast at Wall & Water was complimentary but he rated the buffet awful, with a stale muffin, old-tasting berries, an empty bacon tray and a latte with chunky milk, and inattentive staff; it would have cost $35 plus tax and tip if paid. He still loved the suite and said he would likely make the hotel his regular New York base.
